Do you ever feel light there is no light at the end of the ever growing tunnel that you are trying to run through? Depression can be like that it is all consuming. “That’s the thing about depression: A human being can survive almost anything, as long as they see the end in sight. But depression is so insidious, and it compounds daily, that it is impossible to ever see the end. The fog is like a cage without a key.” Healtyplace.com
Anybody can get depression it depends on their current life and what is going on in it. People close to me have had depression start from something as small as a fight with their friends. However, if the depression goes unnoticed the outcomes can be devastating. My Daughter Maresa has admitted to me in the past that her relationships in her life were falling apart with her social group. After this happened to her she went to a dark scary place that even I wondered if she would ever return to the happy person she once was. It took a long time for her to even open up and talk to me. Once she finally did it broke my heart to see her in so much pain. After Maresa had confided in me she rose like a phoenix from the ashes. She finally felt better. Sometimes you need a counselor to help with depression.
One thing is for sure you cannot do it alone and it is okay to ask for help. It does not matter who helps you just as long as they love you and you trust them completely.
